Job Responsibilities
The Competence Center for Violence in Close Relationships (ViNR) is seeking a driven and committed development leader who wants to support the city's work on violence in close relationships.
The position is aimed at those who want to contribute to the development and implementation of capacity-building initiatives in the field of violence in close relationships.
The Competence Center ViNR offers a wide range of knowledge-enhancing initiatives for the city's and contracted municipalities' employees. We primarily target the four social services in the city, the Department for Functional Support, the Elderly Care and Social Services Department, as well as schools, culture and leisure, and civil society organizations.
The role of the development leader in violence in close relationships involves planning and conducting training, giving lectures, and organizing conferences on current and relevant topics in the field. You contribute to the city's operational development within ViNR and support various implementation efforts ongoing in the area. You follow developments in the field through active monitoring and both establish and participate in relevant networks as part of your assignment.
We offer a meaningful, varied, and stimulating job alongside engaged colleagues. Our expertise is in demand within the city, and the work is supported by the City of Gothenburg's plan for combating violence in close relationships.
You will belong to a city-wide unit – the competence center for preventive and promotional work, the Lösa method, and violence in close relationships – and work at Gårdavägen 2 together with the unit's employees, where you have 4 colleagues in the same role. In total, we are 15 people in the unit.
Qualifications
You have a degree in social work or another degree that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have experience working with violence in close relationships through authority exercise in the adult sector. You have extensive experience working within social services. You have very good knowledge in the area of violence in close relationships. You should have experience leading workshops, mentoring groups, or facilitating learning processes.
It is an advantage if you have experience in authority exercise in other areas within social services. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have experience training professionals using participant-driven methods. It is also advantageous if you have an understanding and knowledge of working from an intersectional perspective.
We want you to be development-oriented. You seek and seize opportunities to think innovatively in work-related contexts, which can be translated into practice and lead to improvements. You stay updated through environmental monitoring and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in the organization.
You have a sense of collaboration and the ability to work together with others to accomplish tasks and goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you foster a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.
You are pedagogical, you gain energy from contributing to others' learning, and you create conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems to different audiences and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.
You are also communicative in that you convey information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing. You ensure that your message gets across and adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.
You are warmly welcome to apply for the position, and we look forward to reading your application!
